Storytelling has always been my through-line. Whether it was trading hockey stories, performing at Second City, or doing my best Alfred Hitchcock impression while directing, I’ve been shaping and sharing stories for as long as I can remember.

 

Along the way, I’ve directed, produced, edited, animated, and art directed just about every kind of video you can imagine—from quick social clips to big-budget Super Bowl spots. Honestly, though, some of my best work has come when the budgets were lean and the creativity had to stretch the farthest.

 

A favorite example is Marry Me, a commercial I directed and produced for a small Chicago costume shop. We made it on just $4,000, and it went on to be named one of the top 10 global spots of the year by Screen Campaign Magazine and one of Archive’s best commercials of the month.

 

I’ve also been lucky to work with brands like Porsche, Corona, Edward Jones, Cedar Fair Amusement Parks, the U.S. Postal Service, Turtle Wax, and Marzetti’s—each one a new chance to tell stories in fresh and unexpected ways.
